FOOD The Crab & Ale House, White Hart, is the oldest pub in Truro, established in the latter part of the 18th Century. The article in the Cornish Gazett and Falmouth Packet dated Saturday October 9th 1802 refers to " That ancient and well accustomed inn, known by the sign White Hart" . The pub has retained its olde world charm offering excellent food, traditional ales, along with a variety of bitters and ciders. |

Popular with locals and visitors are the house doubles, a heritage collection of malt whiskeys and fine wines all served in traditional cosy surroundings. The Crab & Ale is well known for it's traditional food and sea food specialities served from 12 to 2.30 pm Monday to Saturday. The Crab & Ale is a friendly pub with a great atmosphere. |
